Reem Yassin is a dedicated criminal defense attorney at Ridley Defense, representing clients across Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties. A Ventura native, Ms. Yassin brings both local insight and deep commitment to her community as she defends individuals facing criminal charges with diligence, empathy, and vigor.
Her foundation in criminal defense was built through extensive work at both the Ventura County and Santa Barbara County Public Defender’s Offices, where she handled a broad range of cases and honed her courtroom skills. This experience allows her to approach each case with confidence, precision, a clear understanding of the challenges her clients face, and in crafting a defense.
Ms. Yassin is known for her client-centered, holistic approach to defense. She is bilingual in English and Arabic, which enhances her ability to communicate and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. A licensed restorative justice advocate and facilitator, she also works with youth in the community to promote healing and accountability outside traditional punitive systems.
Passionate about fairness and justice, Ms. Yassin is a fierce advocate who believes that prosecutors often overcharge—and it is her mission to bring relief, clarity, and strong results to the people she represents.
When she’s not in court, Ms. Yassin enjoys yoga, traveling, dirt-biking, and spending time with her family. She actively volunteers and proudly serves as a board member of the Santa Barbara Teen Legal Clinic, supporting local youth through legal advocacy and education; and sits on the board for Colleges of Law (COL), mentoring future lawyers.
