Attorney Andrea Keith is a former Los Angeles County public defender dedicated to representing individuals throughout Southern California. Her over 16 years of practicing law includes extensive experience in the appellate courts. Described as an “aggressive, tough” lawyer and a “fighter” in the courtroom, attorney Keith is a cherished member of the Ridley Defense team.

Former Los Angeles County Public Defender

For nearly a decade, attorney Keith served as a Deputy Public Defender for Los Angeles County. During her tenure, she handled over 50 criminal and juvenile trials. She represented clients on a number of misdemeanor and felony matters, conducting preliminary hearings, writing and litigating motions, and conducting investigations.

Dedicated Legal Scholar

Prior to becoming a licensed attorney, attorney Keith externed for the Honorable Warren J. Ferguson of the Ninth Circuit Court of appeals and served as a legal intern for the Public Counsel Law Center. 

As a student at Whittier Law School, where she was a recipient of the Dean Merit Scholarship and State Bar Scholarship, she served on the staff of the Whittier Law Review Honors Board and was a member of the Whittier Moot Court Honors Board. 

Today, she is honored to continue her work as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate working with foster youth throughout the area. At Ridley Defense, we are privileged to have her as a member of our team and a champion for our clients.

Expansive Appellate Work

Throughout her legal career, Ms. Keith has proven herself as one of the state’s premier appellate lawyers. She was a panel attorney on the Central California Appellate Program and the California Appellate Project of Los Angeles.  In addition to researching and drafting the appeals, she presented oral arguments before the Third and Fifth District Court of Appeals, the Second Appellate District Court of Appeal, and the California Supreme Court.
